Your serial number should start with 2015

If you are using the SIM Card in the router, you should be on firmware 5.0.6 or later
This is with a SIM1, SIM2 or SIM3 all V1 model.

If you are using a 3G/4G/LTE USB Modem, you should be on firmware 4.9.4

Remember to follow the instructions such as making sure you connect your router with a network cable to one of the lan port
(not the wan) to do the firmware update (no wifi)

Instructions on how to update the router:

Take out the 3G/4G/LTE stick from the usb port of the router is you are using one.

You should not use Google Chrome to do the firmware update or anything else when you log into the router.
Use Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari web browser to do this update.

1) Take the stick out of your router if you are using a 3G/4G/LTE modem or stick

2) Power on router and connect to the router either on WiFi or with an Ethernet port

3) After router is completed booting up (takes approx 60 seconds), open up your internet explorer, Firefox or safari
(do not use Google Chrome)
In the address bar, enter
http://192.168.10.1/cgi-bin/luci
username: root
password: admin

4) Click on System --> Manually Flash Firmware

5) Uncheck "Keep configuration files" and click on Browse... or Choose File
Locate the file that you saved and click on Open

6) Click on "Flash Image" You should see the file size as 13.75MB

If the checksum is not the same as listed here, delete the file you have and re-download it.

7) Click "Proceed" to start the update process (may take up to 2 mins).
It is recommend to keep looking at the Power light of the router.
When it starts to blink, the update is completed and the router is rebooting.

8) After update is completed, you will be prompt to log in and the Power/Booting Status will be solid and stop blinking.
Log into router again
http://192.168.10.1

the default username is root and the default password is admin

Note that if you want a wifi password, you will need to redo this.
The best way is to click on the wizard on the top left and the wizard will set your router admin password as well as your network name and wifi security.

If you want to connect to the router with wireless from your computer, just view your available network and you should see your network (default is MofiNetworkXXX) or if you ran the wizard and change the network name, that should show up now
Click on it to connect and if you set up a wireless password, it will ask you for this,
Enter the password and it will connect you.

 


Firmware 5.0.7 (use if you do not need usb tethering from a USB modem)
Works fine with wireless bridge and Android USB tethering
